ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Qualifications:

• Must have experience in CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY ACCOUNTING
• Must be excellent in ENGLISH as mode of communication
• Must have a valid drivers license and competent in driving
• Knowledge in Jonas Software is an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and oversee all accounting procedures and processes
• Provide training to new and existing staff as required
• Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
• Produce monthly and annual financial statements
• Responsible for preparing journal entries with the appropriate supporting documentation
• Effectively lead and manage the escalation and resolution of reporting issues or significant variances from expected results
• Complete daily bank reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, analysis and related schedules
• Maintain fixed asset continuity schedule and calculate monthly depreciation
• Ensure all related party transactions are recorded correctly and balance
• Prepares, process and ensure compliance to corporate, government, and accounting requirements (HST, WSIB, EHT etc.)
• Establish and implement internal controls and accounting policies
• Facilitates annual audit by providing information and answers to auditors
• Prepare other ad hoc financial reports as required by senior management.
