Welding QC Inspector

Qualifications:

• Direct work experience and demonstrated thorough knowledge of engineering codes and standards with welding and testing requirements required for the WORK, such as ANSI/ASME B31.3, B31.4 & B31.8; ASME BPVC (Sections V and IX); and AWS D1.1.
• High school diploma with six (6) or more years of direct work experience, in the specific engineering discipline(s), performing QC inspection and testing of industrial project materials, equipment, systems and facilities under construction and Pre-Commissioning.
• Three (3) or more years of direct work experience performing QC inspection and testing related to the scope of WORK (e.g., industrial oil and gas production or petrochemical projects).
• Direct work experience and demonstrated thorough knowledge of engineering codes and standards with welding and testing requirements required for the WORK, such as ANSI/ASME B31.3, B31.4 & B31.8; ASME BPVC (Sections V and IX); and AWS D1.1.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking the English language.
• Full-time work required according to Schedule Q Attachment VI

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for conducting qualification tests of welder personnel and issuing JCC
• Conducting site surveillance Inspection with QCI/client during non-conformities observed and taking steps to address the issue.
• Witness inspection of Pre-heat, PWHT, PMI, NDT, Hardness test and Review records.
• Witnessing Fit-up, dimensional verification and installation inspection as per the revised IFC Drawing.
• Pre-welding inspection, joint fit-up, in-process and post-welding visual inspection for each weld joint at the fabrication shop and field.
• Certification as a welding inspector or equivalent experience.
• In-depth knowledge of welding techniques and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify welding defects.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
