Instrument Supervisor

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related fields is typically required. Specializations in disciplines relevant to the industry or sector can provide foundational knowledge and expertise.
• Extensive experience in the instrumentation and control industry, with a proven track record in supervising, maintaining, and managing instrumentation and control systems. Experience in overseeing projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards is essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of instrumentation principles, control systems, sensors, actuators, transmitters, PLCs, SCADA systems, and related equipment and technologies relevant to the specific industry, sector, or project.

Skills and Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge and expertise in instrumentation and control systems, including design, installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Familiarity with industry standards, codes, regulations, and best practices related to instrumentation and control activities.
• Strong leadership abilities, team management skills, and interpersonal skills to lead, guide, and mentor teams of technicians, engineers, or contractors, fostering collaboration, communication, and alignment towards project objectives.
• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, with the capacity to convey complex technical information clearly, facilitate discussions, document activities, and build relationships with stakeholders, including colleagues, contractors, vendors, and management.
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues, analyze situations, and implement effective solutions in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety of instrumentation and control systems.
