Research and Development Manager
Qualifications:
- Must possess a university degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Engineering, Food Technology, or BS Chemistry
- A master’s degree or post-graduate course in the related fields is not required but preferred.
- Knowledge and strong foundations in supply chain management
- Must have good work experience of at least ten (10) years in any food manufacturing FMCG company
- Physically fit and healthy to work
- Assertive and proactive, Very good communication skills
- Strong human relations and people-handling capabilities
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Positive (can do, can be) attitude
Responsibilities:
- Develop concepts, products, and solutions by coordinating with different departments in operations
- Understand customer expectations on to-be manufactured products.
- Determine and execute improved technologies used by suppliers, competitors, and customers.
- Establish project goals and priorities by collaborating with Marketing and Operations
- Research, design and evaluate materials, assemblies, processes, and equipment.
- Monitor team metrics and objectives to ensure the meeting of goals. Evaluate current processes and operations to suggest improvements after testing out solutions
- Document all phases of research and development. Oversee projects, budgets, and staffing requirements for research, design, and innovation teams.
- Manage customer relationships and perform RFP reviews, Customer Visits, and Product Testing.
- Plans on new ideas for R&D to make the sector better and more efficient to improve the business.
- Determine, put into effect and display studies and improvement techniques and priorities to help their organization’s commercial, coverage, or studies objectives.
- Lead primary studies tasks and offer studies recommendations to their organization.
- Discuss the study’s findings and insights through reviews and presentations
- Investigate new technologies or look for ways to improve existing technologies.
- Transfer new technologies, products, and manufacturing processes into and out of the company.
