Plate Fitter

Qualifications:

• Fluent in English to communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and project teams.
• Proficient in MIG/MAG welding and capable of performing high- quality tack welds on steel components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to ensure precise fabrication.
• Experience with steel fitting and assembly, including working with structural steel plates and components in both workshop and on- site environments.
• Proficient in working to strict tolerances and ensuring all fabricated components meet dimensional and quality standards.
• Attention to detail is crucial for accurate fitting, welding, and alignment of components.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in plate fitting, ideally in construction, industrial, or heavy fabrication sectors.
• Strong commitment to safety regulations and procedures, with an ability to work in high-risk environments.
• Must adhere to health and safety standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must hold a valid driving license and be able to travel to job sites as required.
• Skilled in using workshop tools and equipment (e.g., plasma cutters, oxy-acetylene torches, grinders, drills) for fabrication and assembly.
• Maintain a high standard of work and adhere to project deadlines.
