Mig Welder

Qualifications

• Relevant Certificate III and 2 years of experience, relevant Certificate IV or relevant vocational training preferred.
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (MIG)
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (Grinder, Rattle gun, spanner, Drop Saw, Hex keys)
• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
• No formal training or qualification(WQT) – 5 years of relevant full-time work experience
• With formal training or qualification(WQT) – 3 years of relevant full-time work experience

Responsibilities

• Follow all instructions regarding compliance with all OH&S Regulations, Legislation & Company Policies.
• Report any Hazards or Unsafe conditions to Supervisors.
• Diagnosing & General mechanical repairs and servicing a wide range of vehicles.
• Carry out wheel alignment pre-check, including steering and suspension condition and report any defects.
• Carry out wheel alignment and make necessary adjustments to obtain desired specifications.
• Carry out in vehicle axle bends / axle correction as required.
• Prepare appropriate paperwork and report work carried out to Workshop Foreman for customer liaison.
