KITCHEN EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN

A Kitchen Equipment Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and servicing kitchen equipment and appliances used in commercial kitchens, restaurants, hotels, and food service establishments. They ensure that kitchen equipment is operating efficiently, safely, and according to manufacturer specifications to support food preparation and production operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years work experience
• High school diploma or equivalent.
  Technical certification or vocational training in appliance repair, HVAC, or electrical engineering is preferred.
• Proven experience as a kitchen equipment technician, appliance repair technician, or maintenance technician in a commercial kitchen or food service environment.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment operation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
• Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems related to kitchen equipment.
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools, test equipment, and repair techniques for kitchen appliances and systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
