Diesel Mechanic

Qualifications:

• Trade Qualified – Mechanic/Diesel Fitter
• Qualification in operating Heavy Vehicles.
• Experience with Trucks associated repair, maintenance, and service.
• Knowledge of Occupational, Health and Welfare Act and application to the workplace.
• Possession of current ‘Heavy Rigid’ class vehicle license with ‘Hire and Reward’ endorsement.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License, Valid Forklift License (LF)
• Must be at least a graduate of 1-year vocational course or Completed at least 1 year in college

Responsibilities:

• Conducts routine servicing of Trucks, Prime Movers, Forklifts, Cherry Lifts, LVs, and Generators.
• Preventive and scheduled maintenance of LV and Diesel Trucks for optimized performance.
• Perform complex troubleshooting, fault rectification, repairs, and modifications.
• Preventive and scheduled maintenance of forklifts and generator servicing and repairs.
• Following up on all Pre-Starts on Trucks, Trailers, Forklifts and Generators.
• Trailer Repairs, Any other duties as required
