Singa Ship Management Phils., Inc. is a licensed manning company engaged to supply Filipino Seafarers for cruise and commercial vessels. It is the division of the Singa Group of Companies which has diverse business interests in Asia with key offices in Singapore and the Philippines.

Established in 1987, Singa Ship Management Phils., Inc. provides hotel staff and technical crew to premium cruise lines such as Cunard, Seabourn, SeaDream, The World and Windstar.

SINGA SHIP utilizes a recruitment system to meet specific recruitment requirements of its prestigious and selected clientele. The system ensures that both efficiency and cost-effectiveness are achieved in the selection of its seafarers. Singa Ship maintains a manpower pool and an impressive databank of qualified candidates who have undergone a series of rigid evaluation processes.

The organization consists of a professional management team supported by highly qualified line and staff employees, all experienced in the entire process of manpower recruitment and deployment.

Singa Ship Management Phils., Inc. has been elevated to the Hall of Fame for continuously winning the Award of Excellence conferred by Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).

Qualifications for Job Applicants

The agency ensure that only Filipino workers are qualified and medically-fit are deployed. Hence, Filipino workers are medically examined by government-accredited medical clinics or hospitals and trade-tested or trained by training centers authorized by the government.

  • Qualification of Seafarers – Only seafarers certified as competent and qualified shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
  • Minimum Age – No person below eighteen (18) years old shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
  • Medical Certification – The seafarer shall hold a valid medical certificate issued by a medical facility duly accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) for that purpose, in accordance with its existing rules and regulations.
