Quantity Surveyor

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, infrastructure, or highway projects.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, contract administration, and project cost control.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and quantity surveying software.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts, project specifications, and commercial documentation is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and quantity take-offs based on engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Measure and evaluate quantities for civil, structural, architectural, and infrastructure works.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures to ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and evaluate project variations, change orders, claims, and additional works.
• Prepare interim payment applications, progress billings, subcontractor valuations, and final accounts.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients regarding commercial and contractual matters.
• Analyze tender documents, specifications, and contracts to identify project cost requirements and risks.
• Prepare material quantity schedules and support procurement activities by verifying material requirements.
• Maintain accurate cost reports, quantity records, and commercial documentation.
• Assist in contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.
• Support value engineering initiatives by identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and applicable construction regulations.
• Perform other quantity surveying and commercial duties assigned by management.
