Golden Ocean Fish Pte LTD is seeking experienced and detail-oriented Fish Graders for deployment to Fiji. The successful candidate will be responsible for grading sashimi-grade tuna, assessing product quality, and supporting frozen tuna processing operations for the Japanese market.
Fish Grader
Qualifications:
- Male applicants aged 25 to 40 years old.
- May have completed secondary-level education but must possess relevant experience in a tuna processing plant, particularly in frozen tuna processing.
- Must be knowledgeable in grading frozen sashimi-grade tuna for the Japanese market.
- Experience in frozen tuna production as a Supervisor or Production Officer is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of fish quality assessment, handling procedures, and food safety standards.
- Ability to inspect tuna products accurately from gilled and gutted (GG) form through finished loin products.
- Good attention to detail and quality control skills.
- Physically fit and capable of working in cold storage and production environments.
- Responsible, hardworking, and capable of working independently or within a production team.
Responsibilities:
- Grade sashimi-grade tuna during the receiving process from frozen fishing vessels.
- Assess fish quality from GG (gilled and gutted) form through finished tuna loin products.
- Inspect frozen tuna products to ensure compliance with Japanese market quality standards.
- Monitor tuna grading, sorting, and production quality throughout processing operations.
- Coordinate with production teams to maintain product consistency and operational efficiency.
- Identify defects, discoloration, texture issues, or quality concerns in tuna products.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and processing procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards within the production area.
- Prepare grading reports and communicate quality findings to supervisors and production management.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and company production guidelines consistently.
