Steel Fixer

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years working experience as a Steel Fixer in construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
• Experience in oil & gas, refineries, energy, or heavy construction projects is an advantage.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and bar bending schedules.
• Skilled in steel bar cutting, bending, and fixing techniques.
• Overseas experience is preferred, but local experience is accepted.
• Must provide valid proof of experience such as Certificates of Employment (COE), employment records, or project documentation.
• Physically fit and capable of working in demanding construction environments.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret construction drawings, bar bending schedules, and structural plans.
• Cut, bend, and fix steel reinforcement bars (rebar) according to project specifications.
• Assemble and install steel reinforcement structures for concrete works such as slabs, columns, beams, foundations, and walls.
• Tie rebar securely using wire and ensure proper spacing, alignment, and positioning.
• Assist in placing reinforcement cages and embedded steel elements in formwork.
• Inspect completed reinforcement work to ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, foremen, and other construction workers to ensure accurate installation.
• Follow all site safety procedures and use protective equipment at all times.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Perform additional structural or construction-related tasks as assigned.
