Savvana Constructions Limited is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Fitter Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in physically demanding environments.
Heavy Equipment Fitter Mechanic
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience.
- Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in a related field.
- Technical or vocational certification in Heavy Equipment Maintenance, Automotive Technology, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or fitter.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment and machinery.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing on all equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Replace defective parts, components, and assemblies as required.
- Conduct engine overhauls and equipment rebuilding.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair diagrams.
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality and safety.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and standards.
- Coordinate with supervisors and equipment operators regarding machinery issues.
