We are looking for Heavy Plant Fitter with experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and electrical components of heavy equipment, carrying out preventive maintenance and inspections, interpreting technical manuals and schematics, and using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment, all while following safety-compliant work practices.

Heavy Plant Fitter/Welder

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Heavy Plant Fitter
• Proven experience in heavy plant maintenance and welding
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and fabrication skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Must be able to speak and understand English
• Welding and gas certifications are an advantage
• Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Carry out preventive maintenance and routine inspections on heavy equipment
• Perform welding and fabrication on machinery, skips, and structural components
• Use diagnostic tools and specialized equipment for troubleshooting
• Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
• Maintain heavy plant and recycling equipment in safe working condition
• Ensure all work is completed according to safety standards and regulations
• Keep accurate service, maintenance, and repair records
