Groupe Salyas / Byblos Hotel is seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to lead the pastry and bakery section. The ideal candidate will create high-quality desserts, breads, and pastries while maintaining high standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene. 

Pastry Chef

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a hotel or restaurant
• Strong knowledge of baking and pastry techniques
• Creative skills in dessert presentation and menu development
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Culinary degree or pastry certification is an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen management
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during service
• Prepare and cook dishes according to menu standards
• Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
• Manage inventory and monitor stock levels
• Assist in menu planning and development
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
• Help control food costs and reduce waste
• Ensure smooth kitchen workflow during busy periods
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef
