Groupe Salyas / Byblos Hotel is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef Executive to support the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will ensure high standards of food quality, consistency, and service while leading a team of kitchen staff.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a hotel or restaurant
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of international cuisine
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts is an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen management and operations
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including cooks and assistants
• Plan and prepare menus, ensuring high quality and consistency
• Ensure food presentation and taste meet hotel standards
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating during service
• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen
• Monitor inventory, stock levels, and kitchen supplies
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
• Assist in controlling food cost, waste management, and portion control
• Ensure smooth kitchen workflow during busy periods
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or management
