Assistant Chief Steward

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in stewarding or kitchen sanitation operations
  • Supervisory experience is an advantage
  • Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chief Steward in supervising daily stewarding operations
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and service areas
  • Supervise stewarding staff and assign daily tasks and schedules
  • Ensure proper waste management and cleaning procedures are followed
  • Monitor inventory of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations
  • Train stewarding staff on proper cleaning and sanitation practices
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams for smooth operations
  • Prepare reports and documentation as required
