RESTAURANT STORE MANAGER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years relevant working experience in restaurant, retail, or food service management
• At least a high school graduate
• Male applicants are preferred
• Strong leadership, people management, and operational skills
• Experience in recruitment, training, and team development is an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Own and manage Team Member recruitment and onboarding, ensuring staffing levels meet business needs
• Build and maintain a robust Family Tree through effective succession planning, ensuring Plan B coverage is in place for all key roles
• Drive Team Happiness and engagement by role-modeling Pret’s Values and Behaviours and by creating a positive, fun, and motivating environment for both team members and customers
• Embrace and demonstrate Thoughtful Leadership Principles (Being Kind, Honest, and Generous) in all aspects of leadership
• Ensure all in-shop training, legal compliance training, and graduations are completed according to agreed standards, guidelines, and timelines, including completion of journals and performance reviews
• Minimize employee turnover by consistently following Pret’s Turnover Principles
• Conduct regular 1:1 performance reviews using Pret Behaviours, KPIs, and SMART targets
• Promote and nurture team wellbeing, encouraging a healthy work–life balance
• Set meaningful actions arising from Pret’s Big Conversation initiatives and ensure timely follow-up and implementation
• Oversee daily shop operations to ensure high standards of service, food quality, safety, and productivity
