HEAVY TRUCK DRIVER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years work experience
• Valid Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience driving heavy rigid trucks with a carrying capacity of 20 tonnes or more.
• No recent history of major traffic violations, accidents, or license suspensions.
• Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs/23 kg), climbing in/out of the cab, and securing loads.
• Certification or demonstrable experience operating truck-mounted cranes.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a heavy rigid truck (20-tonne capacity) to transport goods to and from specified locations.
• Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while avoiding restricted roads or low bridges suitable for heavy vehicles.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, weight limits, and road regulations during transit.
• Maneuver the truck into tight loading docks, construction sites, and uneven terrain safely.
• Operate truck-mounted cranes to load and unload cargo if required.
