Ship Pipe Welder

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred
• Can weld pipes with steel grades : AISI and CuNiFe
• Specialized in 135 (MAG), 136 (FCAW) and 141 (TIG).

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints: Follow technical drawings and schematics to correctly assemble and install piping systems.
• Weld pipe systems: Use various welding techniques to join pipe sections, fittings, and other components.
• Prepare and cut pipes: Measure, cut, and prepare pipe sections to specifications, which may include grinding and beveling surfaces.
• Ensure structural integrity: Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet required pressure and structural standards, using techniques like hydrostatic tests.
• Follow safety protocols: Adhere to strict safety regulations, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow procedures for confined spaces.
• Maintain equipment: Ensure tools and equipment are clean, organized, and in good working condition.
• Collaborate with a team: Work with pipefitters, foremen, and other workers to meet project deadlines and goals.
