Dental Assistant

Qualifications:

• Female applicants are preferred
• Minimum of 1 year work experience

Responsibilities:

• Arranges, organizes and set up dental equipment, ensures that dental instruments are cleaned, dated and processed according to established clinical guidelines
• Prepares the operatory room before the treatment starts in between patients and after the procedures.
• Provide chairside assistance to Dentist in dental procedures including operative, preventive, periodontal, pedodontic, endodontic, prosthetic, orthodontic and/or oral maxillo facial surgical procedures.
• Develops and processes dental radiographs in accordance with provided orders, assist in the monitoring and maintenance of radiation safety procedures and protocols
• Register, schedule and record patients’ appointments . Manages dental emergency cases.
• Delivers pre and postoperative care guidelines to patients and appropriate oral hygiene instructions (tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counselling).
• Maintains dental laboratory slips, creates and maintains dental records in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
• Monitors and maintains dental equipment and instruments (lubricates, cleans, flushes and drains equipment’s, reporting of defective equipment’s).
• Orders and maintains inventories of dental supplies.. Perform other duties as assigned
