CONVEYOR BELT SPLICER

Qualifications:

  • Must have experience in belt repair and maintenance.
  • With proven background in conveyor belt servicing, repair, and maintenance
  • With at least 15 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and thorough knowledge of conveyor tools, equipment, and splicing techniques.
  • Preferably with experience in construction, mining, and power plant industries.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform splicing, vulcanizing, and repair of fabric, steel cord, and rubber conveyor belts.
  • Conduct belt inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failure points.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize production disruptions.
  • Operate and maintain conveyor-related tools, equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Align and install new conveyor belts and components as required.
  • Prepare materials, adhesives, and tools needed for splicing or vulcanizing work.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards during all maintenance activities.
  • Record repair and maintenance work, including belt specifications and splice details.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to plan maintenance schedules and improve belt performance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with site regulations.
