IT Manager

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Project management experience, ideally in the poultry, agriculture or manufacturing sector
• Hands-on experience with Sage 300 is required (implementation, customization, integration.)
• Proficient in managine ERP projects, including Sage 300 financials, inventory, procurement and production modules.
• Experience with project tracking tools.
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure, networking and cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities:

• To lead and oversee the execution of critical IT initiatives across our poultry operations.
• Ability to manage cross-functional technology projects, including ERP systems, automation tools and digital infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Sage 300 implementation and optimisation.
• To evaluate our current technology and programs, provide solutions to and implement new systems that enhance our operations and productivity levels
• Experienced in managing IT projects in fast-paced environments such as agriculture, food production or manufacturing
• Lead end-to-end management of IT projects including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and delivery
• Define and document project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with company goals
• Oversee successful implementation, customization, and support of Sage 300 ERP across finance, inventory, procurement, and production departments
• Keep up to date on the latest applications of information technology
• Collaborate with department heads (production, supply chain, finance, HR) to gather user requirements and manage expectations
• Ensure effective communication between IT and non-technical stakehoders.
• Drive digital transformation through projects involving ERP systems, farm management software, IT technologies, and reporting dashboards
• Lead system integration involving Sage 300, warehouse management, payroll and other operational tools
• Proactively manage project risks and develop contingency plans
• Track and report on project performance, budget utilisation and milestone achievements
• Direct internal teams and third-party vendors/consultants involved in project delivery
• Promote continuous improvement and best practises in IT project governance
