RIGGING ENGINEER

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience

Responsibilities:

  • Design and review lifting and rigging plans for heavy equipment, piping, and structural components.
  • Perform load calculations, crane selection, and rigging configuration design to ensure safe lifting operations.
  • Conduct site surveys to evaluate ground conditions, equipment access, and lifting feasibility.
  • Prepare detailed lifting drawings, risk assessments, and method statements for refinery projects.
  • Ensure all rigging equipment (slings, shackles, spreader bars, lifting frames, etc.) is certified and suitable for the task.
  • Provide technical guidance and supervision during critical lifts, shutdowns, and turnaround activities.
  • Collaborate with project engineers, construction teams, and contractors to ensure lifting operations align with project schedules. Monitor and
  • enforce compliance with refinery safety policies, OSHA standards, and other relevant regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve rigging-related incidents or near-misses, recommending corrective actions.
  • Train and mentor rigging supervisors, crane operators, and lifting personnel.
