Electric Arc Furnace Process Engineer

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree (Metallurgy, Chemical / Industrial Engineering preferred)
  • 2-4 yrs in steel manufacturing, preferably in EAF/LF operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the industry
  • Ability to think in complex and ever-changing situations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure within timeframes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to solve problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the efficient and safe operation of Melt Shop (EAF/LF) by monitoring processes
  • Analyzing performance data, & recommending improvements to achieve production, and cost objectives.
  • Provide technical support to production crews and ensure compliance with operating procedures.
