Data Center Mechanical Infrastructure Engineer
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or related field (required: HS diploma/GED).
- 5-7 years managing critical cooling systems in data centers or similar environments.
- Expert in CRAC/CRAH units. chillers, pumps, VFDs, and control systems.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, BMS operation. and reading P&IDs/control schematics.
- Relevant certifications (CHD, CPMP, CDCP, HVAC manufacturer-specific, Professional Engineer. TESDA HVAC) preferred.
- Lift up to 50 lbs; work in confined spaces and varied temperatures/humidity.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity for inspections and mechanical work.
- Primarily indoor data center work; occasional outdoor exposure for chillers/cooling towers.
- On-call rotation; non-standard hours as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Lead maintenance, repairs, and root cause analysis for all critical cooling systems.
- Optimize airflow, temperature, humidity, and energy efficiency.
- Monitor system performance via BMS; address anomalies promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs, maintenance schedules, and performance reports.
- Oversee cooling-related infrastructure projects and rack placement for optimal airflow.
- Enforce safety protocols (LOTO, MOPs, EOPs) and maintain audit readiness.
- Manage vendor performance and compliance with site standards.
- Serve as incident lead for mechanical system failures and emergency recovery.
