Data Center NOC Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years in IT/NOC operations and 2+ years in supervisory roles.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure, TCP/IP, DNS, monitoring tools, and ticketing systems.
- Experience with physical security systems and asset management.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a 24/7 operational environment, including nights/weekends.
- Lift/move up to 60 lbs; perform patrols, climbing, and equipment handling.
- Work in noisy, temperature-varied, and confined spaces.
- Available for on-call and emergency response; able to travel between sites.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, schedule, and mentor NOC staff across all shifts.
- Manage 24/7 monitoring of critical systems (network, servers, power, cooling, security).
- Oversee incident and problem management, including RCA to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain and improve SOPs. emergency plans, and best practices.
- Track and report KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics.
- Serve as escalation point for critical issues and coordinate communications.
- Plan and manage scheduled/emergency maintenance.
- Ensure physical security and access control in data centers.
- Manage vendor relationships and NOC asset lifecycle.
- Support capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity efforts.
