TRUCK DRIVER

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English (written and spoken)
  • Experience in international transportation is an advantage.
  • Able to organize time effectively and orient himself in space

Responsibilities:

  • Driver is obligated to behave in accordance company culture of the employer and to represent the employer in best light
  • Come to work on time, keeps the truck orderly and in correct condition and to keep a record of his activities
  • Driving truck to deliver goods from place A to place B (in international traffic)
  • Drive back the truck to address of employer, or where he is asked
  • Before leaving to check the vehicles condition, and in case of a breakdown to help with repairs
  • Secure the goods while they are being loaded, so that there is no damage of same
  • Complete paper work at customs and forwarding when necessary
  • Take care of the truck and company property (tools, uniforms, business premises) and report the damage to the employer mediately when he noticed it
  • To properly keep travel diary, accompanying documentation and to keep receipts of all expenses made while working
    Under no circumstances may he use alcohol or drugs while working
  • May not leave the vehicle in an unknown place without permission the Company
  • Help with loading and unloading goods if necessary
