Midwife

Qualifications:

  • Female applicants are preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year work experience
  • Must have a degree in midwifery or a related field, with completion of an accredited midwifery program with proven work experiences as a midwife or in a related healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • A midwife provides comprehensive care to expectant mothers, assisting them through pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum recovery, ensuring the health and well-being of both mother and baby.
  • Provide full antenatal care, including screening tests and health education for expectant mothers and their families.
  • Supervise and assist mothers during labor, monitoring the condition of both the mother and fetus, and applying knowledge of pain management techniques.
  • Offer advice and support to mothers after childbirth, including newborn care and addressing any complications that may arise.
  • Educate patients and their families on reproductive health, childbirth preparation, and parenting, providing emotional support throughout the process.
  • Identify high-risk pregnancies and make necessary referrals to obstetricians or other medical specialists when needed.
