QC INSPECTOR PWHT

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years work experience
• Oil and gas field experience is a must.
• Ex aramco approved candidates will be the 1st priority
• Experience in quality control, with a focus on PWHT

Responsibilities:

• HAS KNOWLEDGE OF SAEP 385 ( PIPING, EQUIP, STEEL, etc.)
• Responsible for ensuring that Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) processes adhere to quality standards and specifications, often in industries like construction, fabrication, and manufacturing.
• They perform inspections, monitor processes, and maintain records to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• This involves overseeing the heating, soaking, and cooling phases of PWHT to ensure they meet specified temperature ranges, durations, and rates of change.
• Conducting visual inspections, dimensional checks, and hardness testing to verify the effectiveness of PWHT and identify any defects or nonconformities.
• Maintaining accurate records of PWHT procedures, including temperature charts, material certifications, and inspection reports.
• Inspecting storage conditions to ensure proper protection from the environment.
• Verifying the correct installation of equipment and associated components.
• Ensuring proper documentation of material certifications, test results, and inspection reports.
• Identifying and reporting non-conformances and assisting in their resolution.
• In essence, the QC Inspector (PWHT) is a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of welded components that require PWHT, helping to prevent failures and maintain the quality of the final product.
