POST WELD HEAT TREATMENT TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience

Responsibilities:

  • A Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) job description typically involves coordinating and executing heat treatment processes on welded materials to reduce residual stresses and improve mechanical properties.
  • Setting up heating elements (bands or blankets), thermocouples for temperature monitoring, and connecting equipment to heat treatment
    consoles.
  • Ensuring that the weldment reaches and maintains the specified temperature for the required duration, following pre-defined heating and
    cooling rates
