Logistics and Delivery Manager

Qualifications:

  • A good know how on logistics & delivery services across Papua New Guinea
  • Minimum of 5-years of working experience in logistics & delivery in Papua New Guinea
  • Solid track record with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information in layman’s terms.
  • A fast learner, and ability to meet and exceed all the requirements from clients
  • Able to work under minimal supervision and can lead a team.
  • Can communicate well in English both in writing and verbal, ability to understand & speak Chinese is a plus
  • Ability to source and work well with subcontractors is an advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize transportation and delivery operations.
  • Forecast demand and plan delivery schedules accordingly
  • Manage daily delivery operations, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders
  • Supervise drivers, warehouse staff, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Monitor and improve last-mile delivery efficiency.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with shipping carriers, couriers, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure vendors meet service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Track KPIs such as on-time delivery rate, delivery cost per order, and order accuracy.
  • Analyze logistics data and generate weekly and monthly reports for the Management.
  • Continuously looking for improvements to operations and Warehouse planning
  • Monitor and efficient tracking of inventories movements in/out
  • Able to always provide warehouse & inventory status instantaneously
  • Monitor, track progress of work and make sure invoices are issued in a timely manner
  • Ensure all account receivables are closely monitored and take necessary action to ensure the Company receive payment promptly
  • Supervise, always coach and train the team
  • Ensure compliance with transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols across logistics operations
  • Ensure that all employees, including sub-contractor work, are properly carried out timely, safely and compliance to invoice requirements from
    the clients.
