Material Checker

Qualifications:

• At least high school or secondary graduate
• Minimum of 3 years working experience as Material Checker or any equivalent position
• Must have experience in manufacturing industry, preferably in steel fabrication shop

Responsibilities:

• Receives, counter checks and segregates all incoming fabricated materials with transfer form for easy identification of priority jobs and phase:

1. •  Prepares outstanding list of received materials per job
   • Coordinates with shop for any discrepancies in the receiving report
   • Records into the company’s Oracle system the piece marks of painted and galvanized materials for Form B preparation.
   • Ensures that all updated piece mark or manually prepared Form B conforms to the actual stencil drawing and weight of the finished material.
   • Submits the Form B document to the company’s Quality Control for inspection and updates

• Observes properly the personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, face mask and the like while inside the shop floor
• Adheres to the department’s safe material handling methods
• Provides update to the immediate head for the status of the released materials
• Coordinates with the immediate head any finished material requiring verification
• Do other functions that may be assigned from time to time
