Clay Mold Maker
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Mould Maker or Clay Sculptor in a manufacturing or artistic environment.
- Proficient in clay sculpting techniques and mold-making processes.
- Strong understanding of materials, textures, and sculpting tools.
- Attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting design challenges.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow design instructions.
- Knowledge of kiln operations and mold drying processes is a plus.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams.
- Ability to lift, move, and position heavy clay materials and molds.
- Dexterity to handle detailed sculpting tasks for prolonged periods.
Responsibilities:
- Design and create clay molds based on client specifications and production requirements.
- Shape and sculpt clay with accuracy to form complex designs and detailed patterns.
- Measure and adjust mold dimensions to ensure product uniformity and precision.
- Repair or modify existing molds to meet updated design specifications.
- Collaborate with designers, artisans, and production teams for prototype development.
- Ensure molds are structurally sound for multiple production cycles.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to prevent contamination of clay materials.
- Monitor the condition of molding tools and request maintenance or replacements when necessary.
- Maintain production timelines to meet deadlines for custom orders.
