Our employer in New Zealand is in need of the following position:

BLASTER PAINTER

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in both blasting and spray painting.
• Familiarity with pressor pot and airless spray systems.
• Experience with intumescent coatings is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure quality finishes.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in industrial settings.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and proper handling of materials.

Responsibilities:

• Perform surface preparation of metal structures and components using blasting methods such as steel grit or garnet.
• Apply spray coatings using pressurized pot systems and airless spray equipment.
• Work with intumescent coatings where required (experience preferred).
• Ensure surface finish quality meets project specifications and standards.
• Maintain and clean all equipment and tools used for blasting and painting.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including PPE usage and environmental compliance.
• Participate in a spray-painting test as part of the assessment process.
