Director – Fiber Operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 10+ years in telecom/network operations with leadership in FTTH and network migration
- Strong expertise in fiber optics, network infrastructure, and telecom standards
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and strategic planning
- Mostly daytime work; may include evenings/weekends
- Office and field work (retail/reseller sites)
- Some travel required
- Physically active role including standing, setup tasks, and multitasking under deadlines
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic planning and execution of fiber optic (FTTH) deployments and oversee the transition from copper to fiber networks. This role involves leadership, project management, vendor coordination, and team development within telecom operations.
- Develop and lead fiber expansion and copper migration plans aligned with business goals.
- Project & Operations Management: Oversee FTTH project lifecycle; implement best practices for performance and reliability.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor engineering and technical teams; provide training on fiber tech and support continuous improvement.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Manage relationships with vendors, regulators, and internal leadership.
- Budget & Resources: Plan and oversee budgets; allocate resources efficiently.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety, and company policies.
