Service Mechanical Engineer – Machine Tools

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in machine tool maintenance and repair are a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical service engineering, specifically with machine tools.
• Proven track record of diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

• The Machine Tools Mechanical Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and components in machine tools.
• Installation and Commissioning:
  • Install and commission new machine tools and related equipment.
  • Ensure all mechanical systems are correctly assembled and aligned.
  • Perform initial testing and adjustments to achieve optimal performance.
• Maintenance and Repair
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machine tools to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in machine tools and systems.
  • Repair or replace defective components, such as bearings, gears, and Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers and operators.
  • Train customers on the proper use and maintenance of machine tools.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely solutions to mechanical problems.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Prepare service reports and documentation for each job performed.
  • Report any recurring issues or potential improvements to management.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing duties.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Identify and address potential safety hazards in the work environment.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine tool technology.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills.
  • Contribute to the improvement of service procedures and practices
