Maintenance Technician

Qualifications:

• Strong technical background with experience in production industries preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience working in a Post Production/industrial plant.
• Ability to learn nomenclature of all assigned equipment, products, and quality standards
• Ability to learn to identify product defects
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend written material
• Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and welding equipment.
• Working knowledge of Overhead cranes maintenance with different ·capacities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance of warehouse equipment -may include troubleshooting machine tools, pumps, bearings, blowers, fans, gearboxes, air handlers and other equipment as required
• Ability to connect to PLC’s using the main enhance PC system and do basic programming and troubleshooting
• Maintaining, repairing troubleshooting all machinery and equipment
• Perform precision maintenance on automated robotic equipment – includes preventive maintenance, general upkeep and daily cleanings
• Conducts preventive maintenance inspections and perform required preventative maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, alignments
• Ability to diagnose problems for facility and production equipment and make needed repairs and the ability to install new equipment
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production and facility equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production and facilities equipment during machine service
• Ability to work across all two shifts, weekends and holidays as required to accomplish facility and production related tasks
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogues, as necessary
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment
• Providing an intermediate level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive maintenance on the production equipment and systems in a large industrial environment
• Day to day coverage of production equipment in assigned area – complete scheduled PM’s, respond to alarms, solve equipment breakdowns and fulfil production requests efficiently to minimize downtime
