Senior Scaffolder

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in marine field.
• At least High School graduate.
• Heavy industry experience in scaffolding works and heavy equipment erections.
• Shipyard experience preferred.
• Experience certificate from heavy engineering organizations.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and web applications.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of scaffolding and shipyard operations.
• Knowledge of related health, safety, security and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate scaffolding operations under the Foreman’s supervision .
• Oversee a team of scaffolders by coordinating day to day quality works, allocating labour, ensuring efficiency and conservation of material, accurate reporting of work carried out and correct charging of time to job numbers.
• Coordinate activities that relate to the operations of mobile cranes, forklifts and lifting equipment, tools and tackles, sling, etc.
• Assist the Foreman in the calibration of all equipment in Scaffolding Section.
• Assist the Foreman in certification of lifting gears and labelling of test status.
• Assist the Foreman in preparing scaffolding, lifting and survey equipment for testing
• Requisition of equipment and materials for the Department.
• Maintaining quality records.
• Follow specified systems, processes and procedures, implemented in the workplace, to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and other requirements/standards.
• Work safely at all times, protecting the health and safety of everyone in the workplace.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
