Cylindrical Grinding Operator
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with vocational training in machining or related field preferred.
- Prior experience operating cylindrical grinding machines is highly desirable.
- Measurement skills using precision tools like micrometers and calipers.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to grinding parameters.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machine tools to perform repetitive machining operations, such as turning, milling, drilling, boring, planning, honing, broaching, grinding or other machining operations
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using micrometers, calipers and other precision measuring instruments
- Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpiece in etching solution to remove unwanted portions
- Mount workpieces securely between centers on the machine.
- Select and install appropriate grinding wheels based on material and desired finish
