Medical Laboratory Scientist
Qualifications:
- Must have experience working in hospital setting.
- Must have passed the ASCP and obtained Credentials Evaluation.
- VisaScreen certification is desirable.
- Passed an English language proficiency test, as required for VisaScreen.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving patient samples, properly labeling and processing them according to established protocols.
- Operating specialized equipment like microscopes, automated analyzers, and cell counters to conduct a wide range of tests including blood chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology, and urinalysis.
- Ensuring accuracy of test results by performing regular quality control checks on equipment and reagents, following established guidelines.
- Accurately documenting and communicating test results to healthcare providers in a timely manner.
- Adhering to safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and laboratory regulations
