JBase Developer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience working as a JBase Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in JBase programming and multi-value database concepts.
- Experience with JBase subroutines, triggers, dictionaries, and file handling.
- Familiarity with Pick/BASIC programming language.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases for data integration.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with banking, finance, retail, or payroll systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of modern software development practices, including Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with API integration, RESTful services, or middleware technologies.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Relevant certifications in JBase or multi-value database technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using JBase and multi-value databases.
- Write and optimize JBase programs, subroutines, and scripts to support business processes.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and enhance existing applications, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and efficient.
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization of JBase applications to resolve issues and improve performance.
- Integrate JBase applications with other systems, leveraging APIs and other integration tools.
- Conduct system testing, performance tuning, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and internal teams.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, processes, and system architecture.
