METAL SHIP HULL ASSEMBLER

Qualifications:

• Ages up to 45 years old
• Proficient in English language

Responsibilities:

• The subdivision of a hull in terms of the moulding loft — actual and to scale;
• The methods of marking of complex assembly units and their installation with regard to their location;
• Marking technical specifications;
• The machining and assembly of parts, assembly units, sections; injection tolerances, systems of precision classes and surface roughness.
• The methods of joining mid-hull blocks;
• The preparation of edges of various shapes for welding;
• The overlaps for volumetric sections;
• The rules and inspection methods for preparation of edges for welding;
• The causes of welding deformations and ways of anticipating and preventing them;
• The straightening techniques for welded structures;
• The basic requirements of the standards and technical processes for the building of metal ship hulls;
• The methods and technology of conducting leak tests;
• The intended purpose and rules for the use of control and measuring instruments (spirit levels and theodolites);
• The rules of transportation of ship forming sections, blocks and half-hulls;
• The methods of inspecting sections, blocks and half-hulls.
• The assembly techniques for installation joints when performing vertical automated welding;
• The nomenclature of the ship equipment (machinery, piping systems, equipment) for sections and blocks;
• The causes of welding deformations and ways of anticipating and preventing them;
• The conditions for assembling and inspecting welded hull structures;  welding processes;
• The methods and technology processes for joining large blocks;
• The causes, magnitude and methods of reducing deformations in particularly complex welded structures;
• The consistency of the installation of ship equipment in sections and blocks;
• The peculiarities of straightening of steel and steel alloy structures;
• The complete set of methods of assembly, inspection and straightening of complex volumetric sections, section blocks and aft blocks;
• The methods of punching the axial line, including optical methods;
• The methods of development layout of complex sheets of external plating;
• The design of particularly complex devices for assembly and inspection;
• The methods of inspecting the position of sections, blocks and hull on a building berth;
