Plasma Cut Off Operator

Qualifications:

• Technical Diploma / Certificate Course w/ 1 yr. exp. /or High School w/ 3 yrs. exp. /or General Education (up to 8 Grade) w/ 5 yrs. exp. /or General Education (Less than 8 Grade) w/ 8 yrs. exp.

Responsibilities:

• Directing and controlling all activities at the Cut off station ; Operating plasma cutting machine
• Record pipe numbers cut off mill and mark up the pipes ; Ensuring the Pipes are cut to the correct length
• Transferring cut off pipes from the mill to the bevel area ; Top up flux in flux hoppers as needed
• Informing Mill Foreman of any machinery issues and operating it efficiently and safely
