Our employer Jash Technical Services is in need of the following:
AGL SME INSPECTOR – AIRFIELD LIGHTNING SYSTEMS
Qualifications:
- Male Applicants
- Certified Airport Lighting Specialist (CALS) can be advantage
- Experience in airport ground lighting systems, including design, installation, maintenance, and management.
- At least three years of this experience at Airports
Responsibilities:
- A comprehensive knowledge of relevant ICAO recommended and mandatory practices is essential
- In-depth understanding of airport ground lighting systems, including runway, taxiway, apron lighting, and approach lighting systems
- Knowledge of lighting design principles, installation methods, and the selection of appropriate lighting fixtures for various airport applications
- Familiarity with aviation regulations and standards related to airport lighting, such as those set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and GACA standards
- Understanding of electrical systems related to airport lighting, including power supply, control systems, and emergency lighting
- Expertise in designing and engineering airport ground lighting systems, including compliance with design standards and safety requirements
- Skills in overseeing lighting systems’ installation, testing, and maintenance, ensuring that they operate correctly and meet safety and performance standards
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot lighting system issues, perform inspections, and recommend upgrades or repairs
- Proficiency in ensuring lighting systems comply with relevant regulations and safety standards, including conducting safety audits and providing certification
- Experience in coordinating lighting systems with other airport systems, such as air traffic control and weather monitoring systems, to ensure integrated operations
- Knowledge of electrical maintenance procedures and ICAO standards is essential
- Inspects the AFL systems and reports the problems
- Checks that VASIS/PAPI are at the correct angle and correctly aligned
- Checks the status of AFL equipment and system and any serious problem must be brought to the attention of the supervisors
