PIPING GENERAL FOREMAN

Qualifications

• Male Applicants
• Minimum of 5 years work experience

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of a piping installation project on a construction site, including supervising a team of pipefitters
• Ensuring proper layout, assembly, and installation of piping systems according to blueprints and specifications,
• Maintaining quality control, managing project timelines, and ensuring worker safety while adhering to all relevant construction regulations and codes.
• Review project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work.
• Develop detailed work schedules and assign tasks to pipefitters based on project requirements.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to meet deadlines and budget.
• Coordinate with other trades and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration.
• Thorough understanding of pipefitting techniques, including pipe sizing, materials, and installation methods. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and as-built drawings to accurately layout pipe systems.
• Knowledge of different piping systems (e.g., water, steam, gas, sprinkler) and their specific installation requirements. Lead and motivate a team of pipefitters, assigning tasks and providing guidance on technical aspects of the job.
• Conduct safety meetings, enforce safety protocols, and address safety concerns immediately. Identify training needs and provide necessary training to crew members.
• Inspect installed piping systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Perform quality checks on materials and ensure proper documentation of material certifications.
• Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
• Extensive experience as a pipefitter with a demonstrated ability to lead teams.
• Strong understanding of construction safety procedures and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with other trades and project management.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
• Leadership qualities to motivate and guide a team.
