Heavy Repair Technician for Rolling Stock Vehicle (Train)

Qualifications:

• Diploma/ Certificate in Mechanical / heavy equipment repair/ engines/ CNC Machines/ hydraulics
• Min 5 to 6 years of experience working in Rolling stock environment in bogies area
• Must have a good knowledge in of one or two train sub- systems such as Brake system, traction motor:
• Fast learner and able to understand the train functionality
• Able to read schematic and drawings
• Able to work on shift rotation
• Able to speak English

Job Description:

• Required to operate heavy equipment as part of the diagnostic process.
• Need to disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment, order new parts and conduct inspections on heavy machinery to ensure proper functioning and compliance with manufacturer standards
• Need to possess the ability to read and comprehend blueprints, instructional manuals and technical sketches.
• Need to work with a range of tools, such as wrenches, hex keys, flame cutters and vise grips. Since the work environment of technicians may be hazardous and polluting, these professionals may also need to master appropriate safety and health protocols and procedures.
• The physical demands of the job crouching, stooping, climbing and pushing – require technicians to stay in good physical condition

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
