Panel Beater

Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience with Heavy Vehicle/ Buses
  • At least minimum of 3 years of experience in the field
  • Trade Certificate/Diploma in Automotive (spray painting & panel beating)
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of customer service and needs.
  • Must have a valid driving license

Responsibilities:

  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
  • Communicate with Parts Department to obtain the needed parts
  • Examines the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
  • Perform all body and fender repairs according to estimate
  • Perform welding, soldering, body alignment and oxidizing operations
  • Assessing and analyzing the damaged areas to prepare for painting.
  • Sanding, cleaning, and printing vehicle surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion and smooth finishes.
  • Skillfully matching paint colors to the original vehicle color or customer specifications.
  • Ensuring that painted surfaces are smooth, free of imperfections, and match surrounding areas seamlessly.
  • Inspecting finished work to ensure it meets quality standards and custom
  • Painting the vehicles with a high level of efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain workshop in orderly and clean manner
  • Documents all work performed as soon as the job is completed
  • Understands and follows federal, state the local regulations such as disposal of hazardous wastes
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
