ACCOUNTANT
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of working experience is required.
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s / College Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or a related field.
- Female applicants are preferred for this role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and bookkeeping procedures.
- Experience preparing financial statements, reconciliations, budgets, and financial analyses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial reporting functions.
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar financial management systems.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of tax regulations, tax preparation, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Understanding of audit processes, internal controls, and financial risk management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of daily financial transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and account balance verifications.
- Monitor financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Compute taxes, prepare tax returns, and ensure timely submission of statutory filings and financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support business objectives.
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, profitability, and cost control.
- Review accounting records and internal processes to ensure accuracy and strengthen internal controls.
- Identify financial risks, discrepancies, and potential fraud concerns and recommend corrective actions.
- Support internal and external audit activities by preparing required documentation and reports.
- Generate periodic management reports and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and ensure secure handling of company records.
- Coordinate with management, auditors, banks, and government agencies regarding financial and compliance matters.
