Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred
• Technical degree or certification in mechanical maintenance or a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure reliability and longevity.
• Document maintenance activities and update records to maintain compliance with industry standards.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on equipment, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and other machinery.
• Analyse mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand equipment specifications and operational requirements.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
• Participate in safety training and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Work closely with other maintenance team members and production staff to ensure seamless operations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding maintenance needs and equipment status.
• Maintain an inventory of mechanical parts and tools, ensuring necessary materials are on hand for repairs and maintenance.
• Assist in ordering replacement parts as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts used.
• Provide reports on equipment performance and maintenance activities to management.
